YOLKLAND
A downloadable game for Windows
(NOTE: This is a rough unpolished prototype of my idea, expect bugs and partially unfinished features)
(it is quite complicated so i tried my best to explain everything using sticky notes in game)
With dwindling personal and only a land-drone designed by a fired co-worker at hand, you must explore the constantly shifting underground of an Antarctic base, upgrading your drones modules and learning the patterns to extract artifacts and taking photographs of your findings to accumulate resources as you get to the alien mysteries below.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| [W] [A] [S] [D] | Navigate your control panel (If you flip the "Plug in Keyboard" switch then it controls the drone) |
| Mouse | Click and interact with your control panel |
I knew for a fact that this project suffered from scope-creep the moment i started it, but it was too promising to not attempt, i started this because i wanted to design monsters and play around with a procedural generation system i designed but never finished long ago. This is also tied into a wider story i had already written, something that isn't really present in the jam version of this game, i plan to continue working on this to reach my vision but that will be beyond the scope of this jam so here is the 65% of the way there prototype version of YOLKLAND - Hekkerán
- This was made for PROCJAM 2025

Played this on stream. It is a little confusing still, but I got the hang of it I think. It is an interesting concept to me and I would like to see how this game is after some more development time if you re going to still work on it. I see the potential and I personally am interested.
Haha, i just watched your stream, yeah i was suspecting it would be practically impossible to play properly at the current state with severe lack of guidance, instructions and polish, but i wanted to at least put out something for the jam.
Still thanks for giving it a go! it was fun trying to watch you decipher my hieroglyphs :) I'm planning to try and make this into a proper demo if i can.
Thank you! Again I enjoyed the concept a lot and just on paper it sounds cool. Besides the lack of guidance I enjoyed just kind of figuring things out on my own for a bit.
